4 Questions For Aaron Losey With His Drift Ready LS1 S13

SPEC Clutch: What kind of car do you drift?

Aaron Losey:
I drift a LS1 powered S13 240SX. This car is battered and way past its poor little lifespan, but I keep chugging along with her. She has had at least 5 serious frame pulls, and has had portions of her unibody cut off and replaced : )

SPEC Clutch: How long has racing been your passion?

Aaron Losey:
Since I was about 16 I have been into offroading and Jeeps, and got bored around 22 or so. I then started autoxing, trackday stuff, shifter karts and drifting. Nowadays I mostly host events for other drivers, but I since I host over 25 events a year in Texas, I still probably drive more than anyone else, even if it isn't always in my own car. Everyone lets me drive their cars!

SPEC Clutch: What modifications are done to your car?

Aaron Losey: My
LS1 in my 240SX is not only completely built and makes around 460+ WHP,
but it is also played out. I don't know what direction to take her,
but with the support of a company like SPEC, I know whatever drivetrain
I choose next SPEC can help me along! Other than that, my car is
really really simple. I have a roll cage, a set of coilovers, some
suspension arms, and a V8 drivetrain. My car is very simple, and
everything for the most part on my car is hittable with a large hammer.

SPEC Clutch:
What made you choose SPEC clutch for your race car?

Aaron Losey: I
choose SPEC because I originally had a tiny button flywheel in my car
from another company. It rev-ed like a chainsaw with that tiny setup,
but was terrible to drive! I got so frustrated I just wanted something
simple and strong that worked. SPEC was sponsoring a contingency
program in NOPI Drift back in 2008, and I had been driving that series
with great success, so I was happy to get the chance to run that
product. Their products aren't expensive like much of the import
setups that work well, and my SPEC setup has been through far more than
600 tires without needing any attention. It is really nice to not have
to worry about a part of your car at all, the clutch just ALWAYS works!
